How This Website Works
Senior CGM Support is an educational website. The articles here explain continuous glucose monitoring, Medicare coverage, and diabetes management for seniors and their caregivers.
The website itself does not collect health information. There is no eligibility form, no patient portal, and no place on this site to enter a Medicare number or medical details.
If you call the phone number listed on this site, your call is handled by our affiliated Medicare-enrolled durable medical equipment (DME) supplier. That is where eligibility checks, insurance verification, and orders happen. Health information you share on that call is collected by the DME supplier and handled under HIPAA, as described below. This policy covers both the website and those calls, so you can see the whole picture in one place.

- Email address, if you subscribe to our newsletter or download a resource

Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking
This website uses the following services. Where consent is required, our consent banner asks you first, and you can change your choice at any time.
- Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-3RH1STZK9B), used through Google Site Kit and MonsterInsights, to see which articles people read. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Jetpack Stats, for basic visitor counts.
- Complianz, our consent manager, which stores your cookie choices.
- OptinMonster, which decides when to show a newsletter invitation and remembers if you dismissed it.
- Essential cookies set by WordPress, needed for the site to function.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them. We honor browser Do Not Track signals.
Email and Marketing
Our newsletter is managed with Mailchimp and Creative Mail by Constant Contact. If you subscribe, your name and email are stored with those providers so we can send you what you asked for.
Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us and we will remove you. We send marketing email only to people who asked for it.
Affiliate Links
Some product links on this site are affiliate links, including links to Amazon through the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. If you buy through one of them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Clicking an affiliate link sets a cookie belonging to that retailer, governed by the retailer’s own privacy policy. A commission never changes what we recommend.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- With your consent: with family members or caregivers you designate, or with your doctors or diabetes educators
- For business operations: shipping companies, technology vendors, and other service providers who need it to do their job
- With insurers: Medicare and other insurers, for coverage and claims
- When required by law: in response to a law, regulation, or court order
- For safety: to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers or others
HIPAA
Our affiliated DME supplier is a Medicare-enrolled supplier and complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for the health information it collects:
- Protected health information is safeguarded as HIPAA requires
- Business associates sign HIPAA-compliant agreements
- You have rights under HIPAA regarding your health information, including the right to access it
Reading articles on this website does not create a HIPAA relationship. That applies to the information you give our DME supplier when you contact us about equipment.
Phone Calls and Text Messages (TCPA)
We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act:
- No autodialers without your consent
- Text messages only with your explicit permission
- Opt out of calls or texts at any time, and we keep a record of that request
- Reasonable hours, unless a matter is urgent
By giving us your phone number, you consent to calls about your equipment orders and insurance matters. These are one-to-one calls from a real person, not automated campaigns.
Data Security
- Encryption for transmission and storage of sensitive data
- Access controls, so staff see personal information only when they need it
- Regular updates to keep security current
- Staff training on privacy and security
Google API Services
We use a private internal tool to read this website’s own search performance data from Google Search Console through the Google API. It signs in with our own Google account and has read only access to Search Console properties we own. It reads aggregated statistics about how our pages perform in Google Search.
This tool does not access, store, or transmit any personal information belonging to visitors of this site, and it is used only by us. Senior CGM Support’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your Rights and Choices
- Review: ask what personal information we hold about you
- Correct: ask us to fix anything inaccurate
- Delete: ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law
- Opt out: unsubscribe from marketing at any time
- Do Not Call: ask to be added to our Do Not Call list
California Residents
Under the CCPA you have the right to know what we collect and how we use it, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will never discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Other States
We comply with applicable state privacy laws. Contact us for rights specific to your state.
Children’s Privacy
Our services are for seniors and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly.
